Donald Gould (aka the “Homeless Piano Man“) is a classically trained musician currently residing in Sarasota, Florida.
Since his story went viral in the national news, Mr. Gould has performed in front of over 75,000 people during the season opener for the San Francisco 49ers at LEVI Stadium. His life story has been featured on national television programs. He has been featured in major newspapers including The Washington Post.
Before being discovered, Gould was homeless and battled addiction. One day a passerby recorded Gould playing his unique piano version of Styx’s “Come Sail Away” on one of the public pianos on downtown Sarasota, Florida.
With the help of a Christian life counselor to help him get off the streets, the YouTube video went viral and has now generated over forty (40) million views, touching people all across the world. His life story has inspired thousands.
“I was this homeless guy on the streets and the next thing you know, I’m in the national spotlight, the world spotlight,” Gould said.
Donald Gould’s debut studio album, Walk on Water, was released by Triple Pop in 2017. The first single “Come Sail Away” is also now available on all digital services worldwide.
